What's Buzz-worthy: This annual buyback release is one that's either big hit or big miss in my book and that largely depends on how much you paid for the box. If you get in at an early price that's more reasonable, then a card like this one is probably more on the big-hit side but if you get in on boxes at a higher popularity price then that's a little less of one. On paper, on cardboard, a 1/1 of Freddie Freeman is a fine find but at too high of a box price then his ink isn't as impressive as he's not that tough of an autograph to find. (I think it's the initial-graph that hurts it in some cases We'll see how things look on his new Dodgers autos when they arrive.) This one is a nice card -- a clean nearly perfect photo with a perfect spot for ink ... and the initial-graph has a few extra squiggles in it. The signers list for this one has a number of notables, young and old -- Jo Adell, Nolan Arenado, Bo Bichette, Kris Bryant, Miguel Cabrera, Bryce Harper, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Jonathan India, Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto, Mike Trout and Joey Votto are here along with a lot of lesser young names, too, that can make this one a little riskier to open. (Hence a B+ grade.) If you land a big name, that's not that bad. If you land a younger, cheaper name ... well, then it might depend on how much your box was. All in all, I like brands like this as I have more often than not found a solid name.
