What's Buzz-worthy: I didn't land anything Bryce Young in this one -- unlike my first -- but it was a box that delivered pretty well in different ways with the Aqua Chrome that's one in 80 packs and then some other notables among the inserts and Pinks. What was interesting here is that after opening two blasters and a hobby box (look for that here next week) I want to say that beyond autographs I think the blasters give you a little more bang for the buck in terms of variety with the color and the mix for the low price. I didn't expect that ... but that's the power of some retail-exclusives for you (the Pinks) that stand out. ... As I noted last time, I was a little surprised to see this one go retail but I'm glad it did as the Chrome element to this NIL release -- there are active college football stars here not just guys who were just drafted -- makes this one perhaps a leader of the pack for the new NCAA kind of cardboard. Why again? The Chrome and Chrome autos part. Now these boxes are lean and there are some smaller issues -- especially if you grade a lot like I think I do -- but it's a start. The boxes are labeled as seven packs of four cards but that actually excludes the Chromes, which are not every pack here. And that's a bummer. Basic Chromes are one per box, while the Pinks are one in every other pack. The other bummer here? The packs are so small that edges and corners can easily show issues with curling or nicks -- probably because they are so small or from other mechanical or packaging issues. (It's something I have seen in a few releases this year.) And it turns out the hobby packs are also this small ... though I didn't notice as many issues there. (I'm sure they come and go in either format.) ... Ink in blasters starts at one in 75 so you're probably looking at three or four per blaster case. These are not CLC licensed so no formal team names or logos are in play here -- not even a simple state statement -- so that's a little bit of a challenge for the appeal, but that's licensing for you. Autos have a full array of parallels here, too, with Super autos one in 48,263 -- actually not the toughest find here. The variation Superfractor autos are one in 748,066 packs ... so the print run here isn't shabby. I'll rip more of this one so I'll perhaps say more then. As a collector, I like this one.
Product Grade: A-
Box Grade: A- (Aqua is rarer but no Bryce Young stung for me personally)
Fun Grade: B (tiny boxes and Chrome is extra, not every pack)
